Draco Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 I just got an 2800 XP+ and I am going to be overclocking it, but I am not sure what fan and heatsink to get for it. I am NOT going to use the one that it comes with, I know that much for sure. I looked around at reviews, but I wanted to hear from people who use the stuff. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Money is not a problem. Thanks.
kobalt Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 (edited) If you want to get the best of it , get something good thermalrights or the swiftech MCX line with a good fan on both But if money is not an issue watercool it Edited October 28, 2003 by kobalt

wanksta Posted October 29, 2003 Posted October 29, 2003 really? with that kind of cooling> i would expect your temps to be lower i also have a 2500+ with a 3200+ overclock [200 x 11] and i get temps of 28C and 31 or 32C at load this is all with a volcano 11, however my room is also kept cool
smithy Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 I got the SLK-947 for my Asus board to get around the bent capacitor problem- My temps around 35c idle/24c board. But I have a thoroughbred B cpu so temps do seem to run higher than bartons.
FanATIc205 Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 bartons actually run hotter. the extra cache really heats things up over the tbreds. id get a slk800,900 with a good fan and fancontroler. or the swiftech 462v with a 60cfm 90mm fan
