Msi 5900

uhh a friend of mien told me that the MSI version of the Geforce FX 5900 (ultra? ..on price watch for 335) is a POS...err is it really that bad? :unsure:

remember the 5900 is operating on 8 of its 16 pipelines..when they fix that..say good bye to the radeon

Hmm...

 

care to point out a place that provides this info? This has to be the 1st I've heard of it.... call me stupid if you want.

bah not sure where i read that but yes i am a fanboy for nvidia..had a radeon card before..didnt like it to much..although i do remember something along the lines of hte current driver were utilizing teh 16 pipes properly or something

Well... I've read through 10 pages of the 30 page flame war you posted a link to.. and so far the only thing mentioned about pipes is 4 pipes and 8 pipes.

 

Anyone else read through that whole thing and find any mention of 16-pipes?

PCX's Favorite 5900 was Gainwards.

It was tied or Beat the radeons on most of the benchies at low AA

But with all the eye candy on Radeons pulled their shiz together and Knocked the 5900 out cold. It pretty much depends if you rather want the ati or nvidia solution.
