Agallion Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 uhh a friend of mien told me that the MSI version of the Geforce FX 5900 (ultra? ..on price watch for 335) is a POS...err is it really that bad?
Louie57703 Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Its "ok", but my friend wants to get rid of it and get a 9700pro or 9800pro because he says the FX its not all that good though... hes had better times with ATI cards. and the one on pricewatch is just a GeForce FX 5900 256MB (not ultra) card. Overclocker16 Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 LMFAO HAHAHA. Sorry. There is no 16 pipelines, most is 8. ATi fan boy? Looks to me with that 16 pipes your a nVidia fan boy. nVidia has enough to handle...HEAT.

d3bruts1d Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 ok http://www.beyond3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4252&start=0 they are talking about it here..i think this is were i saw it Well... I've read through 10 pages of the 30 page flame war you posted a link to.. and so far the only thing mentioned about pipes is 4 pipes and 8 pipes. Anyone else read through that whole thing and find any mention of 16-pipes?
Newb_ocer Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 PCX's Favorite 5900 was Gainwards. It was tied or Beat the radeons on most of the benchies at low AA But with all the eye candy on Radeons pulled their shiz together and Knocked the 5900 out cold. It pretty much depends if you rather want the ati or nvidia solution.
