DarkJackalX Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 I overclocked my system yesterday up to 20%, with turbo. Then today I turned everything down to normal. For some reason, my computer will randomly restart when I play Halo PC for a lil while. This did not happen prior to my overclocking yesterday. The OC I did worked great, everything was stable, and my temperature didnt exceed 35C for the CPU or MB. Any help would be greatly appriciated, thanks in advance! ~Jackal Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz 800 MHz FSB Hyper Threading with -Zalman CNPS7000-Cu Pure Copper CPU Cooler WinFast A350 NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 5.2.1.6 with -Zalman ZM80C-HP Cooler for GPU with -Zalman ZM-OP1 Slim Fan ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Motherboard Lian-Li PC-61 Aluminum Case Corsair XMS Speed Series PC-3200CPT DDR400 MHz 2 - Seagate 120GB 7200RPM SATA (RAID 0) with Vantec VTX-C01-BK Vortex HD Cooling System Hercules Game Theater (6.1) XP ENERMAX EG465P-VE 460W Lite-On 52x32x52 CD-RW Drive Pioneer ATAPI 16x DVD-ROM
Pizoi Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 Halo seems to be a problematic game, I was having issues with it as well. It wasn't rebooting my computer, but it was giving me exception errors every 30 minutes or so. I ended up turning off some video options, and it's worked fine since then. Not sure why it's such an unstable game
hardwarefreek Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 It is probably not, but have you considered the MSBlast/Lovesan virus?
