-CsA-TAZ Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Some of you may recall the trouble I have been having with my MX1000 cordless mouse, for some reason it would lose connection or stop responding via USB tried it in another rig and the same thing, never found out what it was, anyway I thought I would try the PS/2 port instead with and adapter, Great it worked, now to sort out my memory problems, to do that I had to flash the bios to 6/23/05, this did the trick, 1 month l8r my mouse stop working, tried another mouse would not work either, got help on the forum as you do, someone suggested I should clear Cmos, did the trick again, but it was short lived to the point where it took a 3 month Cmos clear for it to work again, mean time had to use an ASUS Mobo which I had no problems with it OC'ed as well as I could do with my DFi so wtf, I was happy to let the DFi collect dust RIP DFI, But I made the mistake of getting some G-skill DDR 500 1 gig sticks of memory which would not work with the asus Mobo, Anyway decided to try the DFI Mobo again, swapped the boards over bearing in mind that this was in Clear Cmos position for 3 months, stuck the 1 stick of ram in and did the norm, put the other stick in and booted to windows, @ last every thing working as it should happy again, But again short lived, so I conceded that I will just have to pull my mouse in and out until I get a new Mobo, So after 12 months in all of putting up with this mouse, very frustrating I tell ya, I have been trying to decide what Mobo to get next but I could not decide between the CFX3200-DR RD580 Crossfire or Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire so I bought an HIS ATI Radeon X1900 XT ICEQ 3 SILENT Heatpipe 512MB GDDR3 instead lol, and today I thought I would try the latest DFI bios and guess what it WORKED my mouse is working thru the PS/2 port again :D so im very happy once again! On the 07-10-2005 when I first bought a DFI Mobo I knew nothing about OC'ing nothing about DFI products etc all I knew was how to put a pc together, now I know so much and it all down to you people @ www.dfi-street.com BIG THX TO ALL that have helped me!
