DFI_nub Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 ok guys got my 4200+ x2 today, n tbh im having a bit of . with the thing, where do i start, the cpu stepping is : LDBFE 0619 XPMW i put the cpu in, all stock speed n reset the cmos to defaults, i changed few ram settings incresed voltage to y bh-5 etc etc sorted timings, loaded windows, got onto the sign on screen and moved my mouse it completely froze, after 2 n half hours of fiddling i have jsut got into windows with alot of hard work, i have connected all teh power cablesto teh mobo, BTW did i mention, that to get it to boot into windows without hanging, i had to lower the cpu multi to 10x from 1x windows started imediatlly, if i leave the multi set to auto (11xs) it loads windows freezes and come up with a bsod now before windows even loads tbh i think it takes the F*cking piss, the bsod is: machine_check_exception its winding em up and now i really dont know what i can do i darnt restart my pc atm just incase i never get back into windows if anyone can help please do Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
