How to change BIOS chip?

I have been reading these forums since March. Everyone is always talking about changing BIOS chips, but I can't find an explanation of how to do it.

 

What is the procedure for changing a BIOS chip?

 

I don't require the procedure at this point, but I was trying to decide if I should order one or two from Tmod. However, if it is something that gets too complicated, I won't even try it.

If your board came with the black plastic chip puller it is as simple as pushing it into the corners and squeezing the handles together. If it didn't come with it, it's not much more complicated, you just have to be careful not to bust the socket.

Actually you can get chip pullers for cheap at RadioShack, Mouser Electronics, Digikey, or jameco.com

You just make sure the new chip is faced the right direction as the old. Push the new chip into the socket.

Yes, I do have the chip puller. I just didn't know which chip I was supposed to pull with it, however. hehehe!
