tashistation Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 (I am reposting this because somehow it got deleted, searched high and low, admins please delete old if necessary) Here is my hardware: DFI Lanparty SLI-D ( NF4LD406 bios) OCZ 3200 Platinum 2X1GB OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K in dual channel (yellow slots) Opty 165 XfX Geforce 7600GT My issue: Without much tweeking I can get my opty @ 2700Mhz (9*300) (RAM divided @ 150 Mhz). When I underclock the CPU I can get the RAM up to around 220Mhz on 1:1 (stable with memtest) However when I go to overclock I can't get past 270 x 9 with a 2/3 divider which puts the ram at ~173Mhz . It boots all the way to before it says BOOT FROM CD.... then it crashesreboots. I figure i should be able to get the FSB up so my RAM is at least 200. I have tried all sorts of setting with no luck. Here is my current A64info and voltages:

farksy Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 timings set to 2.5-3-3-5, or 3-4-4-8, and DDR400 shouldn't be a problem. And Tref to 3120 cycles, or 200Mhz 15.6us.
tashistation Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 No such luck. I did manage to squeeze a few more MHz of FSB though. It's got to be something stupid. Here are my current settings.
tashistation Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Update.. I changed my CPU VID startup to 1.52, CPU VID 1.52 , and Special to Auto and I am now hitting 9*275 with 3/4 Mem divisor (205Mhz) and can now boot. I also changed my RAM to timings to 2.50-3-3-5 (before it was 3-4-4-8)
