Reckless Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I've just bought a DFI RDX3200 mobo off ebay and have an Athlon X2 +4400 (S939) and was wondering if the following memory would would be any good to go with this setup. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo...roductID=368320 The graphics card is an ATIX1900XT Cross Fire Edition. I dont know what the Bios rev is as I bought it second hand off someone who was using a watercooling setup with it so I'm assuming he was using the latest version. Thanks in advance fella's. bmorgan98 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 You obviously know that there is a little hiccup with the cfx3200 at the moment (see my sig) and i would have recommended a nf4 dfi mobo. By the way that ram is up to the job. edit. you did say rdx3200 did you mean rdx200 or cfx3200?
Reckless Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Yeah sorry mate I meant Cfx3200. Dont know about any problems with this mobo apart from the usual pain in the arse to initially setup. I fancied going for an ATI setup atm because of the ability to turn on AA & HDR at the same time which Nvidia cards card do (the last time I checked any way) Thanks for the reply. Guest LookBackX2 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Reckless, I have the same board and proc. Had it for 4 months now. I am running OZC plats 3200. browsing the forums you might notice a tendency for DFI'ers to swing towards OCZ more than Corsair. Corsair hasn't had the best history with these boards apparently. I am very happy with my 2x1Gig ozc plat set of sticks. Good luck.
bmorgan98 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 i think im tending to agree go the OCZ route.
Reckless Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Yeah I noticed even on other forums, the majority of people recommend either Muskin or OCZ. The people who go for the Corsair seem to be the ones asking questions like me who arent too clued up. I just liked the fact that they were PC4400 rather than PC4000 as with the rest. The higher the better for OC'ing. Alright I'll give the Corsair a miss. BMorgan98 what happened to your sig? Quick, add it the admin are coming! HIDE!! AAARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! Cheers for the advice fellas
