Sorrento Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Need advice about cooling device : air or water ? I want to overclok and play game like unreal tournament If you are not new to overclocking, modding and other stuff thats done to computers, then watercooling is the way to go. But if its not radical a good Thermalright heatsink would do the job more than well. For playing Unreal Tournament, or probably any other game, all AMD64's are more than enough at stock speeds... what matters most is what video card you have on your system. The 7900GT you want is really good also, depending on the screen resolution and quality settings and filters you are going to use I say overclocking its not going to be needed........ but would be fairly easy to achieve with the hardware you listed. Good luck
cull Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I am forced to recomend you an opty 165 best CPU for overclocking and performance and price. it has the 2x1mb of L2 cache which is a must

watsonte Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 The sound card seems to be the one thing that Is draining to much money.....Why not go for an Xtreme Music, the price you pay to get that Fatal1ty name is too much in my opinion...
