mrbadnback Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 My new MB should be here in 3 days (UT nf4 SLI-DR Expert) along with the OCZ 600W PS. What I want to know is what would be a really good memory to use with it? I will want to get 2 GB because that is usually what I keep in my systems. Right now I have these so are they ok to use? http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=80097-

Prostock62 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 The Mushkin Redline in link is the best, then the G.Skill and the Mushkin Black. The Mushkin Redline is by far the best and has the best timmings.(IMOP) One of the most used here are the G.Skill 4000 2 gig kit, $204.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231021 Also the Mushkin 4000 2 gig http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=83433-26 $174.99 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ctCode=83433-26 $319.99 Lots of OCZ also,if your looking at 2 gig stick with the PC 4000
mrbadnback Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I just ordered the G.Skill so they should be delivered the same day as the MB and PS. Then I'll finally be ready to start OCing with a real MB. Thanks for the fast reply! I want to get a water cooling system for this system and was wondering if these parts are good to get. Danger Den TDX w/lucite top DFI Expert Maze4 chipset Block Black Ice Extreme II w/2 sunnon 120mm fans Danger Den DD 12v D5 pump Plus the xtra's like the tubing, tee's,and y fittings. Are these items good to get?

mrbadnback Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Hi Brother Esau haven't heard from you for a long time. LOL Yeah I might as well do it right. If I'm going to get the parts I need to OC the I should just get what I need to keep it cool too. GO DFI!
Curtybob Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I noticed you mentioned Tee's and Y fittings.... no need for any of those. Really, unless you are just wanting to buy the chipset block, there is no need for that either (IMO). Just run a continuous cirrcuit from one block to the next, as the tee and Y fittings create an opportunity for more water to go one way, and starve the other side. The only good use for tee fittings and Y fittings are for fillports, and on blocks like the RBX, where it has 3 barbs. But the pump is excellent, the TDX is a good block, and the BIX radiators are good as well.
mrbadnback Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Thanks now I know that I am heading in the right direction on the parts.
