SLI Mode

Recommended Posts

I have just installed my motherboard and cannot seem to run SLI mode stable.

When I get the blue screen it states:

The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware correctly.

I have checked all my connections, got seperate power to the cards plus the extra power next to the first card to stabilise the mobo. It is set up in the bios to sli and I have reinstalled windows with sli already set up in the bios.

If I run each card seperate they are both fine.

I have run out of ideas now.

Can anyone please advise? I tis doing my nut in.

Thanks in advance.

Have you enabled the SLI aperture in the BIOS (Advanced)?

Have you set the PCI express for 8-4-nc-8 (GENIE)?

If so, make sure that you uninstall the old drivers from safe mode, reboot back to safe mode, install the new drivers (or reinstall the old ones), and reboot back to safe mode yet again. Now reboot and see if it works.

If that fails, try drive clearner (or something like it) to get rid of all traces of nVidia stuff and reinstall the works from safe mode.
