oc newbie Posted August 6, 2006 Much less noise and my chipset idle's between 38-42 and never reaches 50 under load now.
tasr Posted August 6, 2006 The Evercool VC-RE is quieter and a lot of people get a 5ºC - 10ºC drop in temp. Use AS5 when installing the new one. If you decide to order a new one do DFI-Street a favor and use the link in Happy Games signature for the VC-RE chipset cooler. DFI-Street gets a credit and that helps fund the Street. JaY_III Posted August 7, 2006 Just put that one in yesterday as my Stock Fan started to grind and was about to die one me. The best thing about it would be its not as loud. Temps will aslo drop a bit too, 5C i would say uner full load so you shoudnt ever go over 50C now for the north bridge/ Picked it up here: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku...acture=Evercool
