i know its been anwered so many times

 

but i remeber i alternative chipset fan for lanparty NF4 ultra-D boards, i think it was copper and quite than the standerd DFI one

 

wat was the brand and model number please

ok thanks i found out its called evercool vc-re

 

does anyone have any before and after temps and is it much quiter than the stock DFI one

Much less noise and my chipset idle's between 38-42 and never reaches 50 under load now.

The Evercool VC-RE is quieter and a lot of people get a 5ºC - 10ºC drop in temp. Use AS5 when installing the new one.

 

If you decide to order a new one do DFI-Street a favor and use the link in Happy Games signature for the VC-RE chipset cooler. DFI-Street gets a credit and that helps fund the Street.

Just put that one in yesterday as my Stock Fan started to grind and was about to die one me.

 

The best thing about it would be its not as loud.

Temps will aslo drop a bit too, 5C i would say uner full load so you shoudnt ever go over 50C now for the north bridge/
