what are benefits of sata II

Yup, the Ultra-D is SATA 3Gbps enabled out of the box.

 

Thought we were talking about the nF4-D.

 

And I always though nf4-d and nf4-ultra d where both the same board, just described differently. You learn something new every day :)

The difference between SATA2 and SATA is the speed burst. NCQ runs on some SATA (I.E. Raptors...). All of these harddrives come with either 8Mb Cache or 16Mb Cache and doesn't matter if they are SATA2 or just the original SATA. :)
