UncleDavid218 Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Well, not a huge update, but I ordered an SLI-DR Expert from Newegg for $149.99. It will be here Friday. I also got the MAZE4 chipset waterblock from Danger Den for $44 after shipping... should be here the middle of next week. These served no real purpose other than to be able to have two relatively fast systems... otherwise... a pointless upgrade.
catkicker Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 UncleDavid218 What do think about my thoughts on how to mount both of my rads in the 2000 server case. Not quite to scale like this Silverstone case UncleDavid218
UncleDavid218 Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 That is actually a great idea that I've never considered. I'm cutting tomorrow so later tonight I'm going to figure out where I'm cutting, so I'll keep your idea in mind!
arcticwind Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 That's exactly what I'm gonna do to my 3x120 Rad. My 2x120 goes to the top though. I'll be running dual loop, first loop for CPU and 2nd for 2 video cards.

UncleDavid218 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I got a little work done lastnight... decided what the loop would look like and where I should mount the pump. I also got the Maze 4 mounted on my EVGA 6600GT (my RMA 7900GT arrives on Tuesday... I'll be leek testing the loop by Monday) Pictures speak for themselves... you don't need me to tell you what's going on Other than that I just need to cut the holes for the fans and fillport and the case modding is done, though there are still cables to sleeve, etc. The holes will be drilled today around 2PM Central time, so let's hope that goes well! Thanks again for the feedback!
UncleDavid218 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Ever heard that country song by Sheryl Crow titled The First Cut Is The Deepest? Well, I really don't like the song, but its true! I'm off to buy a bi-metal 4.5" and 1" bit... wish me luck!

Guest Blooz1 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Know the feelin', uncledavid! The first time I took a Dremel to my Lian-Li, I was decidedly uneasy! (BTW- that song, "The First Cut Is The Deepest", isn't a "country" song! It was written by Cat Stevens, and the best-know version was done by Rod Stewart. Lil' R+R trivia....) UncleDavid218 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Tonight I finally got the holes drilled for the radiator and fillport... It was really easy once I did it, but I must say I was a little nervous. Special thanks to forestorm for being there to help me (moral support, lol) Everything from FrozenCPU, Danger Den (the Expert Maze 4 block), and Newegg (DFI Expert) get here tomorrow... so I'll be bleeding the lines then! I have a lot of sleeving to do also...
