chobin Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 im a bit confused about the chips mounted: BH-5 or TCCD? im quite sure my rams are the model previous the change of the forniture of the chips...but i would like to be sure before going too far with the voltage. is there any way to test if they are BH-5 or TCCD? (without burning them up....)
smolt Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 How high do they clock at 2.8 v at 2-2-2-5?
chobin Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 2 2 2 5 @ddr400 but on my previous DFI (NF4 SLI-DR) the HTT was 224 with no divider.... (2.7 V) i will do tests tonight after work..... which cap should i have to reach?
farksy Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Set 2.5-4-3-5 and try 290Mhz to 300Mhz. If bootable, it's TCCDs. Voltage around 2.7/2.8V.
lowboy Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Should be TCCD look here:http://www.techpowerup.com/memdb/

_unexpected_ Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Should be TCCD look here:http://www.techpowerup.com/memdb/ Ya they are TCCD. Mine are set to 2.8 and they are doing quite well there. No problems at all. I wouldnt, repeat, WOULDNT take them any higher than this voltage because TCCD memory isnt made for that high of voltage. That BH-5 stuff is though. You would need to cool them if you were considering of taking them any higher than 2.8, BH-5 memory that is. Also, take a look here :http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=54 THey have great stable times depending on your board of choice and memory. Also its somewhat of a stepping stone and you can mix and match but still have stability. hope this helps
chobin Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 yeah i figured it out too....im letting my ram to 2.7V atm.....then i will try to reach their maximum. just want now to be sure about which parameters have to set (as my last post). thx for the aadvice tho... michaelzhao Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 These chips are known TCCD chips with a Brainpower PCB. It is not known whether the PCB is the 808 version or the 818 revision. Supposedly the 808 overclocks 5-10mhz higher than the 818. Overall, the Brainpower PCB overclocks about 10mhz higher than reference PCB's. TCCD's also have individual chips. For example, supposedly the "LE" version of the TCCD overclock the best. I have the 4ns TCCD Chipset.
chobin Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 as far as i understood, on my label it is written: pc3200 EL PE Rev.2 Ver. 1.1, so i should have TCC5 chips. i ran them stable at 241Mhz 2.5 4 3 5 1T (2.6V). at 245Mhz i can boot and load Windows (and use it), but can't pass OCCT 30 mins, even lowering the LTD multi to 3x.....so i guess at moment i reahced the maximun of my Sandy at 1.42V (stock voltage). My goal now is to reach the maximum for the system at stock voltages, then i will rise up (i am just an OC wannabe ..... so im trying to get experienced step by step....) michaelzhao Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 You are correct. It seems that V 1.1 is not TCCD but TCC5 as you mentioned.
farksy Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Mine can hit 312Mhz stable on memtest with 3.0V set in BIOS, and 308Mhz with 2.9V [w/o the +0.3V option.] Unfortunately it can only function till around 305Mhz at the moment. =X
