paulserban Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Hi I would like to use my machine in two modes – normal and OC, and I’d like to take advantage of Cool'n'Quiet technology, but as far as I read it is not recommended to use it under OC. If I install the AMD Power Monitor and from BIOS A. I will disable “K8 Cool’n’Quiet Control” during the OC mode B. I will enable it under the normal mode, everything should be ok, isn’t it? Thanks for answer
red930 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I would think it'd be okay. Not entirely sure tohugh. Windows might get confused if it tries to utilize the power monitor and realize it can't.
Capt Proton Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 That's how I was doing it on my 250 GB, except I didn't install any of the software, only the AMD64 Drivers. I experienced no problems doing it that way.
farksy Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 CnQ doesn't allow you to change multiplier. THat's the only problem i face, other than when taking screenshots or your max suicide screenie
