Stargate Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Hi I have the system in my sig when I run the system at stock speeds everything works great but when I overclock it to 3gig the front audio ports stop working sometimes its the earphone port but mostly its the mike port. I have RMAed the front ports back to the manufacturer (antec) but even with the new front ports it still happends. Ps this is a second hand board I have brought. whowalks Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I had the same board and my front mike port wouldnt work when overclocking. When I sold it I found a reference to this on one hardware site. so you may have to run at stock when using the front audio ports I just got extra long headphone leads
Angry_Games Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 while this isn't typical, it has been known to happen to many motherboards during overclocking. You must always keep in mind that overclocking is not covered by warranty, and any anomalies that happen during overclocking are not reasons to RMA a motherboard. If the normal audio ports work during regular and overclocking use then it is more than likely something in the audio chipset that is a problem, but it does not mean there is anything wrong with the motherboard at all.
