Doesnt Recognize Dual CPU's!!

New build does not see two cpus. Every time I load Win XP pro it does os

in the uniprocessor mode and not the multiprocessor mode.???!!!

 

Any ideas on this one??

 

DFI lanparty nf4 ultra-d

AMD X2 3800

patriot 1gb

maxtor hd

 

 

I've built systems before and have not run accross this one.

Welcome to the "Street".

 

The first thing that I would try is downloading AMD updates and patches for your X2. These can be found on AMD's website. This can make a big difference.

 

Also, check Everest or one of the other programs of that type to see if it recognizes your processor correctly.

Just checked my bios on the board and it is 3/5/05 !

 

So I think this may be it! doh! I should have done that first huh:)

 

Also will check updates on AMD site. I will check back and let you know!

Very nice ISO on all the bios!

 

I used Tonys 07/05 one and it worked great.

 

This has to be the smartest bunch of people on the internet right here

in rivercity....(DFI)
