EdLSmith Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Sounds like a corrupted Bios. Clear Cmos and I would reflash Bios.

Sharp Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Hello, What 4x512MB sticks are you using? Use 2x512MB in the orange slots. Make sure there is a power connector plugged near the top PCIe slot and a power connector plugged into your GFX card.

bgeneto Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 I'm not saying your problem has to do with the psu, but I'm experiencing several problems with my Enermax FMA-535W psu. Have you tried another psu? What is your system age?

lowboy Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Do as sharp said go to 2 sticks of memory in orange slots and run memtest. 4sticks tough to run and when their corsair it really is.
bgeneto Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Well, I spent almost two days playing with memory timings before my system could pass in the built-in memtest for at least 4 hours. Before trying another psu, play a little with DDR config in the Genie BIOS (try auto setting first), see what happen for at least 5 passes, be patient. Your psu has several protection mechanisms, you must, for exemple, turn the psu back power button off for 5 seconds and then turn it on again to reactivate the affected circuit (with the problem was solved).
