FanATIc205 Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 dont get the 5600ultra thou the new 5700that came out today is pretty good and is showing some great scores for a mainstream card. have you looked at thge 9600xt? it will be out in a few weeks and comes with a voucher for hl2. of the 2 you mentioned the 9600 is a ton better . the 5600 is horribly slow with newer games and its iq is no wear near atis not to mention ati does af better with less of a performnce hit

FanATIc205 Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 man there drivers havent sucked since the rage days . ive been running ati since the first radeon and have only had that one problem with cs way back with the 8500 that was quickly patched. most of this driver stuff is nvidiots talking trash most of the storys you hear about are user error . the problems i have had i traced it back to my error. ati has come along way look there putting new drivers out every othermonth . nvidia is th one with driver problems right now look at the new 9600 the 9600xt it comes with hl2 voucher and retails for 199 figure in the free hl2 game and its like 149 for the card
