EXPERT--cant shut down???

Recommended Posts

hey guys

i've just a few of the other threads w/ similar problems--i've tried their solutions--even a fresh install of WINDOWS XP---i had no choice anyway, i couldnt even boot to windows because of a very currupted file in system32 dir. (that's what i read )

..when i did the fresh reinstall of windows- it shut down pefectly- next day it started doing the same thing?

any one know a real solution to this problem?

THANKS!

I've had that exact same problem before, with this DFI and other motherboards as well, and as long as they can shut down with either the on-board start/reset buttons, or the buttons on the case, the motherboard is ok. All the times it has happened to me, it was a Windows XP problem, so a fresh re-install fixed it...but in your case, maybe something else...but your DFI shouldn't be the problem. Maybe (possibly) memory...
