3700+ at 2.81ghz - prime95 prob

Recommended Posts

Hi, got my 3700+ squeezed to 2.81ghz at 255*3*11*1.325+121%"1.57v" !!?

Cant go any higher , because the vcore goes too high for me :D Now the temps are ok

Tried to prime at 1.55v but at test 2 "blend" rounding error... Rised vcore to 1.57v , test4 rounding error.... i think that the cpu vcore is ok , but my memory timings are too tight

Running mushkins at 1T.3.3.8.2.7.14.2.2.1.2.4672.8/3..7ns.5,5ns.0clks "255mhz" ddr510

System was stable at 2.75ghz 250*4*11*1.300+116%"1.51v" with these timings !!!!!!

i mean PRIME95 stable... should i loosen up some timings to get stability ?? Because im pretty sure its mem problem  10mhz increasement should not be too much because these sticks has been runned at 285mhz 1/1... of curse with loosen up timings but still... Could it be the trwt "2" , the cpu:s memcontroller is squeezed quite tight with trwt"2" :D

I think your expecting too much from a 3700+. But that's just me. If it ain't prime95 stable it isn't stable period.

I could bump the voltage to 1.6v and i think it could be stable then... it is so close...

The mhz increasement is just 60mhz :D ive examined others 3700+ oc:s , and it usually goes up to 2.9ghz - 3.0ghz but theres a magic border at 2.8ghz where the vcore starts to reguire heavenly voltages :D :D As on my case (2.75ghz stable at 1.51v) oc 60mhz and vcore needs allready 1.57-1.6v :D My expectations on my 3700+ are so quite realistic !!! If it blows up , i dont give a S**T :D Soon i get vapochill , so the temps are not the problem anymore. When the cpu core temps decrease to near 0*C , then i can lower the voltage...

But some help could be needed tough

I suspect its not the Redline giving out. Those are pretty good sticks, and at just ddr510 is should be able to run 1:1 with the cpu. I think it more of a cpu issue. Take the ram out of the equation and test the cpu @ 255X11.

The problem was simply that the cpu didnt go any higher... :(

Tried at 255 =nope , 254=nope , 253=almost , 252=success :D 2.77ghz

Damn this is a budget piece of S**T 3700+ :D Oh well...

What tests should i try first at prime95 to make sure i should even start running 24h ???

Simply meaning the toughest tests ! :D Runned allready some "max heat" ?? test

Temps stayed below 47*C cpu & 40*C mobo :D

See pic !

Above 250 ldt multi to x3 in most cases, some people have done great living it at x4. fsb 250 X ldt x4 = 1000/ x2 ddr = 2000. My system, fsb 300 X ldt x3 = 900/ x2 ddr = 1800. Within range. But I think you're right, you may have found the max of your cpu.
