3-29-06 BIOS + RAID problem

Recommended Posts

Well not so much a problem as it is an annoyance. Older BIOS version would allow you to turn off RAID but this BIOS doesn't seem to have that option, so when loading Windows I alway get that message to hit something or another to set-up RAID and my Device Manager shows a RAID configuration with a yellow question mark. Anything I can do?

Yes,

You can use any of following BIOS revisions;

623-1 through 623-3

0704-2bt or 0704-2bta

0406

All of them will allow you to disable the RAID function

I've never used the 0306 BIOS so I can't tell you much about it. Highly unusual there's no option to disable RAID though, it's gotta be hidden in there somewhere.

Im using the same bios on my board and I have the option to enable/disable raid but by stock/optimized defaults it should be disabled. I even have sata and all 1394 disabled because I just dont use it.
