ReelFiles Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 IE7 beta 2 used to randomly crash on me, no event viewer entries, nada zip. I didn't try beta 3, nor did I ever try to uninstall IE7, so I can't confirm the problem. Did you get everything fixed up?
cadaveca Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 INternet Explorer itself if an integral part of WinXP. IE cannot be removed from XP...period. The problem you had is easily remedied using the repair option form install. BETA3 works fine for me. FIxed all the issues I had with beta2. ReelFiles Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I believe creating a system restore point, before installing any beta software, is the wise thing to do.
Guest Jon Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I have uninstalled IE7 beta 2 probably three times and now running IE7 Beta 3 without any issues at all. Kinda like it really.

If configured properly, XP should automatically create a restore point before the installation of an msi.
ReelFiles Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 IE7 beta is better than Firefox 1.5, but not better than Firefox beta 2.0, IMO
