Undesirable Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Does it work when you press F6 to install driver manually? If so, then you have just discovered how temperamental slipstreaming drivers is.
Campari_Kurita Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 neither have a floppy drive nor the space to install it.... heres my device manager under x32 (at least under that system it should work ok or?)
Guest Kobalt Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 For your pic, you got Si controller & a Nvidia controller. Did you set up the RAID on the Nvidia or the Si controller? Did you slipstream both Nvidia & Si's drivers?
Campari_Kurita Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 That pic is my existent windows where i didnt slipstream anything (no need since the system drive is normal sata) but thats only my emergency drive....normally it isnt installed (and it wasnt when i tried the WinXP64 cd but i installed the 2 new drives on nvsata channels 3and4 and activated raid for them in the bios! On the WinXP64 cd i only slipstreamed the nvraid since the sil driver are almost unable to slipstream....
bcbooter Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 did you follow the guide? i think you missed some files.. or somthing and it cannot read the raid due to no driver support
Campari_Kurita Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 SOLVED THE PROB...the Solution was to Disable the SIL Raid Controller while installing, Installing the Driver FIRST and then ReActivate it.....that way it worked.....strange though
