ee1ka Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 Help, I am having problems with my mx440 8x g.c. It is only giving out b/w picture on the tv-out, although I think it was workign before. Itis definitely not my TV, as it is brand new, and i am not sure if there needs to be any PAL/NTSC changes on the g.c. software, in which case, I'm not sure how. TV will auto-detect NTSC/PAL. I am pretty revised in the workings of the "S-Video" layout, and know all about its luminance and chromiance transport. I also know there can be problems with the cables, especially taking it from s-video to RGB, which is tha layout I have. It is not the cables however, as I am inundated with cables at home. Any help would be greatly ppreciated.
Some_Guy_ Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 Is the b/w picture scrolling vertically, as if the v-hold is out? If so, then you're probably trying to send a PAL signal (even though the TV is supposed to be smart enough). There is a way to change the output under "Advanved" in Display Properties", I think. I haven't used TV-out on an nVidia card for a while, so I don't quite remember. You say you're sending s-video to RGB? Did you try the standard (composite) input? ee1ka Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 Yeah. Thats where the b/w problem initially lies. RGB input on tv wint even detect, and neither does SCART. There is no scrolling, so it may be the s-video transmission. I am still stuck
