qualude Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I've looked all over, and I haven't been able to find a waterblock that will cool the memory on the back of my 7800 gtx. Anybody have any suggestions? The only reason I am concerned, is my case has very little airflow (SFF) and I recently put a leftover Koolance block on the gpu, along with some Swiftech ramsinks...man, do they get hot! Blaise Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I don't know of any but those swiftech's need air passing over them to cool off. Couldn't you just increase the airflow in you case with a blower or such? My 7900GT's are taking a dip this weekend using a pair of Swiftech MCW60 kits plus a 1.4 volt mod to boot
qualude Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I am trying to keep things quiet, that why I didn't want to put a blower in...not to mention, there just isn't any room in my case...
danzgpgt97 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 In my opinion I wouldnt worry about those at all. I saw a guy who was custom making a phase change for his gpu and made a custom block for the ram sinks. To make a long story short he had them at about -60 at didnt see any performance benefit nor a increase in the overclock he was severely dissapointed. Just put some ramsinks on them and leave it, there really not that important as far as cooling goes. And there supposed to get hot. Just my opinion. Thanks, Dan
