Which OS are you running along with which Service Pack? Have you tried running anything else (Games, burn your CD-R's/DVD-R's, encode/decode music/videos) but only haven't .JPG/.BMP issues? Which application are you using to open this stuff, MSPAINT?

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer <- Yeah thats the one i meant!

But its got damn slow and i dont like to open pics in mspaint it sucks.

i like Windows Picture and Fax Viewer better..

BF2 runs fine not a single lag and i run it on the both CPU's.

And now Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is . slow? this gotta be a joke..

Does it just do it with pictures located on the desktop (or subfolders of the desktop), or pics anywhere in the filesystem?

Have had a similar issue where pictures on the desktop were slow to open (15-30 seconds) but move them elsewhere on the pc and they were back to being as good as instant...

It was fixed in a windows update a while back (12 months+)..

Its odd because it *was* fixed in a windows update a while back.

Are you fully updated?

I have seen it once since the fix was put in by microsoft, needed a reinstall to fix it (we tried everything :( ).. Wouldnt preview movies either, think it was a dodgy codec pack.

Cheers,

Sam C
