smolt Posted October 18, 2006 'black' board with uv reactive yellow. 'black' board with uv reactive yellow. and the LEDS there not yellow too are they ?
thejamesvolta Posted October 18, 2006 LEDS? nope. just the yellow plastic. the lan party uses the nf 590 chipset whereas the infinity uses the nf4 chipset. the lan party is a superior board, however it really depends on what you want out of your system/what your budget is. SpursIndonesia Posted October 19, 2006 Hey there, I searched the AM2 section and couldnt find the answer to this question. Anybody knows if TTBT fits dfi ultra II board? I know that TTBT VX fits but what about regular TTBT? Any special brackets required? In Indonesia, Thermaltake distro sells the aftermarket AM2 bracket for old TT BigTyphoon, TT Waterblock, etc. Price is around 2 US$ per set. If your motherboard comes with socket backplate then you would only need one set, OTOH if it comes without the socket backplate, -DFI Infinity NF UltraII-M2 for example- you've got to buy a pair of them. EagleRock Posted October 19, 2006 Will any of the power connections on the motherboard (System Fan, Chassis 1, Chassis 2) support a 120MM fan? The 120mm fan specs are Voltage = 12V, Current = 0.20A. What is the general advice as to powering a 120mm fan off the motherboard? Thank you rgone, for pointing me to this forum.

ooztuncer Posted October 19, 2006 @spursindonesia: thanks for the am2 clip information. @ DFI'ers: i wrote to TT customer service couple of days ago and here is the response that i got from Tim Hong today: "The original clip will support LGA 775 w/o any problem. AM2 clip will be send to you today. Please allow 4 to 5 businesses days for delivery. Item was sent via USPS." WHICH means, they are sending the correct/compatible clip for original TTBT for AM2 boards - great service - just to let you know - spread the word!! EagleRock Posted October 19, 2006 I will be using an ide hard drive right now. What if I switch to using sata drives in the future. Will I be able to install the sata drivers in the current version of windows or will I have to reformat and reinstall windows xp pro sp2 again?
EagleRock Posted October 20, 2006 OK, Have installed Windows XP SP2 and everything is up and running. I installed the XP SP2 Dual-Core hotfix and June 2006 X2 driver optimizer. I wasn't sure about this but went ahead anyway and followed the instructions found at the AMD Forums. http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=64936 I also read an article at: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=81429 Everything is up and running. Guess I will see how it works out.
