aspevacek Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 I happened to have a pic of the chipset cooler I took during my build http://www.spevsplace.com/images/Pics/chipset.JPG Now I have a question. I was bored and was reading the manual for my fine mother board. In the manual it tells you not to insert a second graphics card in the board, as ti can cause a no boot situation. I read a review where it scored lower and they stated it could be because the 2nd was operating at 2X instead of 8X. Now I look at the pic of my board and it clearly shows 2-3 ON sets the PCIE1 and PCIE3 to 8X 8X config. If it does infact adn one was to complete the SLi mod, it should function 100% like my LP SLi-D did correct? I am looking to grab a second 7900GT KO over the next few days and I am building a SLi Bridge out of one I had laying around So I could actuly end up with a DFI Infinity SLiII-M2

MC FLMJIG Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 http://www.svcompucycle.com/vc-re.html I use this, no prob. Nice board. 3000+ 4000+ R thumbnails ok?
AgentAvenger Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 First Post -- Hello! Hey MC, Thumbs are great. Are you using this patriot memory or something very similar? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820220094 I have that RAM, the UltraII-M2, and an AM2 3800+ X2 on the way and should be here tomorrow (the 23rd). I just wanted to know if there were any issues or anything I would have to do to get that RAM to work in the UltraII-M2. As you can see from my sig, its been years since my last core upgrade, and I hope my first experience with DFI goes off without a hitch. I plan to transfer the HDD and GPU (until I can get new ones in a couple weeks). I will also use my current power supply. Thanks for any assistance guys. MC FLMJIG Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 The Patriot worked MUCH better on Intel. I was able to get 920 @ 2.2. However on this DFI my highest, not realyl trying my best, I',m looking @ a 800 wall @ around 4 4 4. Not bad for cheapie ram but still... I think I have a weak DFI Ultra. Still, can't complain with a nice OC in my opinion. My board loves 9x multi. Don't know why weird. Also, 2T on ram. Im looking for some new memory. I don't know what to get though... Micron is a tad pricey. looking at over 250$ roughly.
d-mart Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Using Team value ram that use what looks like micron chipsets , I can a push memory to 1066, 2.3v at 5-5-5-15, while maintaining <300 htt. htt by itself can be pushed to 380. If I'm trying to push both, htt AND memory. At 320htt, mem maxed out at 960 5-4-4-15. Absolute stable max, not even a single more htt/mem. This is using the first release bios, not the latest 711 bios. With 711 bios, stable htt/mem combination are much lower. 1T timing is very unstable at high htt. Maybe it's just very early bios, DFI haven't tweak it to max yet...
MC FLMJIG Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 That is a SWEET stick if it is any reg ram! Even more so if it's VALUE!!! Which ones are they? I'm sure they probably changed them by now.
