Flytarget Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 Im thinking of upgradeing to a 9800 PRO. I found one at newegg.com for $300. It has a black PCB which is odd but I have read reviews and looked at clock speeds and it really is a 9800 PRO. I don't really wont to go by what people on newegg say since I haven't talked to them or saw them in any message boards. If anyone in these forums has this card or know anything about it as far as performance goes please let me know. Thankx
Overclocker16 Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 The 9800 Pro is the BEST card out there. Though the nVidia fan boys will say otherwise, the tests prove it.
FanATIc205 Posted October 23, 2003 Posted October 23, 2003 the 9800pro saphire is on a 9700pcb but it has the 2.8 ns ram and r350 core. the only problem i could see with the black pcb one is you might not get as high of a overclock but thats it . get it theres not bait and switch or anything wrong with the card it is in fact a 9800pro

young-joseph Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 I got my 9800pro a few weeks ago, so at least I was able to say I had the best card for a few days..then ATI had to go ruin my glory. Speaking of nvidia fanboys, I dont think I have ever seen one. At least not on this site. There any of you nvidia fan boys out there? Flytarget Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 I ended up buying a sapphire 9800 for $240. I should get it this weekend, then Ill flash it to a 9800 PRO and proceed to overclock.
