Day of Defeat is definately worth it....probably the best all around WWII multiplayer game ever...in my opinion of course... Angry_Games Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Need some recomended games, just finished Dawn of war (gold). :cool: Dawn of War was freaking AWESOME momma loved it too, and she %@#$#@ hates RTS games usually. We love it...call it "Space Church" and make all kinds of imitations in it in George W Bush and Dick Cheney voices while playing it Winter Assault expansion...was pretty weak as far as I am concerned. I only played it through as the stupid Imperial Guard and they are just weak weak weak unless you sit inside your base and load up..but there was never really any time for that during any of the campaign. I should install it again and play it as a different race. Here's what we are playing right now (momma and I both) Titan Quest - Diablo III pretty much but greek/egyptian/chinese mythology in a way...if you loved Diablo then you'll love this and the graphics are extremely good (but still locked view like Diablo) Eve-Online - MMO space game. Very deep, very complex, RPG + RTS, one huge world with 15k to 22k players all on at once and very little to no lag 99% of the time. A few of us here like Wetchaser and Null and me n momma all play it, and belong to DFI-Street corp (which had war declared on us haha we are such wussies) Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends - We aren't huge RTS fans, but we got a free copy of this and gave it a whirl, and it was actually pretty darn fun....until it got to be the same old thing but with different races or styles whatever. It's a great game, and the first campaign in single player is loads of fun. The second one I guess would be fun too (I finished it) but it felt too much like the first one but not so fun...sorta a magic-using type of race that I just didn't dig. Haven't finished the third and final campaign yet, and neither has momma. Found Titan Quest and haven't played much else, but we try to mix it up a lot. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - dude...if you like RPG/FPS hybrids, and you got a killer computer...you got to be playing this. This IS the game by which your computer's performance is determined. It's big, it's beautiful, it's fun, and it's likely to make your graphics card start to melt right inside the PCI-E slot Day of Defeat: Source - ya...Half Life 2...I got the new Episode 1 for HL2 @ Best Buy for $7.99, and haven't even installed it yet. But I still try to play an hour or three of DoD a week. I love it. I love the graphics. I need to play HL2 again and then Episode 1 just because I only played HL2 once and never again...and that was back in the days of 6600GT SLI lol...now that I can get 130fps @ 1280x1024 with 4xAA/16xAF enabled in Lost Coast, it's time for a revisit! npb Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 its all been said really... i play css clan wise so im usualy on that. oblivion is unbelievable, i've never enjoyed rpgs but its too quality to ignore. day of defeat source is, as far as im concerned, much better than cod2 or any of the clones. it feels a lot better, nice graphics, spades! got it on the day it was released, preloaded and was one of the first on the servers. couldnt find anywhere decent to play so i just mess about on it. cod2 was a very good singleplayer, but the multiplayer cant compare. too clunky, theres no skill involved. play the occasional game of Quake 4, im a complete nubbin at it but the team dm is a good laugh, nice to play something frantic every so often Prey looks to be amazing but im waiting on an RMA of some memor before i can play, want to experience it in all of its glory Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
