old_geekster Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Did you check the Device Manager under "Disk Drives? If it is there, then you simply have to format the drive.
s10man69 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 That's bad..I can't format it... Has too many things on it that I need...That's why I just use it as a Storage Drive
Angry_Games Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Yea, but all 4 ULI SATA ports are being used for my Raptor RAID 0... I have already checked the SiL thing in BIOS for SATA Only, not a RAID...So I don't know enable the SI3114 controller plug the drive into one of the SI3114 controller ports once in windows, install the SATA driver for SI3114 from the cd-rom or from the downloads page for your board at dfi.com.tw once the driver is installed and you reboot (if necessary) the drive will show up if it doesn't, go into the Administrator Tools - Computer Management - Drive Management and see if it is there it will be there if the BIOS detects teh drive, but it might need to be 'resolved' (not formatted) let me know
s10man69 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Happy, I'll try that again, but I've tried it that way once before. And, upon restart, something now starts up with the PC on startup, a window pops up with the SIL, program or whatever it is. It's annoying...Can I turn that off? I haven't gotten it to work yet though
Angry_Games Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 not sure what you mean if you just install the SATA SI3114 drivers and not the RAID drivers you shouldn't have any problems
s10man69 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I just installed these, from the site... http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/driv..._FLAG=A&SITE=US well, for XP32bit But I just read, that they are all RAID Drivers..where do I get the non-RAID Drivers? s10man69 Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Does no one else who has the CFX3200 have the same problem? Or has anyone gotten a storage drive to work Happy, I can't find anything but the RAID drivers for the SIL 3114 controller. Every one of them on dfi's site is for a RAID driver. I'm stumped
