Dead NF4 NIC on Expert board reason enough for RMA?

Well, as I have posted earlier, my NF4 NIC has died. Simply says network cable unplugged, no lights light up when connecting with a known good cable and connection. I'm willing to try some solutions, but I am more interested in if this is reason enough to RMA for a board with both working NICs.

I'm sure that is reason enough to RMA your board, if it's worth the wait for a replacement or repair. I would just use the other nic, but hey - that's just me. No way would I want to be without my Expert, or go through the hassle of uninstalling all of my WCing, when I could just use the other nic. Now if you needed both, well, that's where your decision would have to be made...

Device Manager --> Right click properties on the network controller --> Advanced --> Speed/Duplex Setting --> Force 100 Full Duplex

 

sometimes forcing 100 full duplex will "wake up" the lan
