red930 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Not practical. Not efficient. Not compact. Not pretty. Sounds like perfect geek material to me... http://www.engadget.com/2006/06/26/all-tub...-in-the-making/ If you want to read the whole story, google does a good job of translating the original page. red930 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Looks beautiful to me! The all-tube clock may not be compact, effiicient or practical yet it does bring back fond memories a bygone era where tube reigned. I still prefer tube amps and turntables over semi-conductor based units.

I still prefer tube amps and turntables over semi-conductor based units. Kids these days and your distortion. I actually looked into building one of these a while back when I wanted to build a tube amp, but decided it would be far to costly. Someday, perhaps.
