Guest RJB Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Thanks.. I'LL try a RMA and see if a new one helps. Is the Be Quiet 600W any good ?
Guest caffeinejunkie Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 That would be another no-no because you should try to stick to reputable psu brands. You might want to look into the OCZ GameXStream 600w.
davidk21770 Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Has anyone else used the enermax liberty 500? Is it compatable with the DFI?My son is using the Enermax Liberty 620 and I'm using the Enermax Noisetaker 600. We both have the PSU/MB interaction problem. For us, we have to cycle the power switch on the PSU, then hit the ATX power button (or MB power button -- they're the same). If I wait for more than (about) 5 or 10 seconds, I have to cycle power again. There're several threads on it, the main one seems to be http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35513. Try the power switch 1st, then try the capacitor across the case power switch leads. If that fails, everyone with OCZ PSUs seem to really like 'em. Guest RJB Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Thanks everyone for all the help. I RMA'd my PSU and got the new one tonight. only hooked it up to see if it fires up, YEA it works. Will finish my build sometime in the morning, after a normal trucker day (19 hours) here in Germany I am only only ready for my bed. Again thanks for all the good ideas and FAST help.!!!
