uh...is my PSU supposed to have a missing wire?

Hello

 

Well i was cleaning up my case inside and I unplugged the 12v rail and notice it was missing a wire...I didnt find it loose so thats how it came, is this a manufacturing error or is it supposed to be like that?

Some can be missing, that is pin 13 = Ground.

 

But is it supposed to me missing? Do they normally ship like that? Thats a reputable brand too.

Exactly...thats why I was asking...

 

so no problems with it missing then?

I know some of them leave off the -5v line. Dunno why GND would be missing though.

 

Hello,

Some can be missing, that is pin 13 = Ground.

 

Wait.. just looked at the pic, that IS the -5v line, NOT pin 13.. it is pin 18.

So, yes, that is normal.
