I've always been a fan of CRT monitors becuase they looked crisper and got higher resolutions but im sure LCD's have caught up by now. So I wanted to know what is a god LCD Monitor that can support at least 1600x1200 resolution and has that glassy look to it? I dont like the movie theater screen type material..I like the glass looking ones. Ive been browsing new egg but I dont know how to tell. My buddy has a 20.1" SAMSUNG 204b LCD monitor that supports 1600x1200. It looks great and never ghosts in games that we play. I would recommend it if you're looking for one that big. Colors look awesome, and theres pretty much no chance that you'd ever see a hint of ghosting on it at 2ms. Tom's did an LCD review on it a while back and they rated it the best gaming monitor available at that point in time. Highly recommended. watsonte Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Yeah I would have to recommend the Samsung 204B as well, it is an excellent monitor, I do suggest making the purchase in store, only because with larger monitors the chances of dead pixels increase almost exponentially. If you buy in a local store like Best Buy of Circuit City you can essentially return monitors for about 2 weeks until you get the one your satisfied with. I suggest that you buy it locally even if a pay a few $$$ more so you can inspect the one you're buying personally for dead pixels etc. EDIT: Wow...
