And you can also see more problems as well A two HDD array has twice the chances of failing, a four HDD array has 16 times more chances to fail than a single HDD. I know, I have a four HDD RAID0 array

TheDM Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I'm using a PCI-E Rocket Raid 2310 with 4 Seagate Barracuda 320 SATAII's 3 Drives in RAID 5 with one hot spare. Get 198MB read in Sandra. Having lots of weird issues though, new build. To get the machine to see the RAID card, I have to completely unplug it or it won't load the card's bios. I also have to leave the SLI at 2-1-1-16 or it will never see the RAID card. It's stable, it just won't soft reboot and see the RAID card. Guest thespin Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 After months of just talking about it :0 I finally upgraded from a single Fujisu 15K 18GB SCSI drive to 2xFujitsu 15K 36GB SCSI (pagefile on original) on an Adaptec 29320ALP-R HostRaid single channel controller. I just did a major upgrade to my system but have not yet changed my sig since I am still tuning and testing ... dual Prime95, both cores pegged 100% as I write this, with no perceptible effect on browsing. Pictures and results to come .. Edit: RAID0
