en0tlaid Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Ok for all of you who help me get this system going thanks alot.:thumb: The sound module wound not work. So ....i disabled it and bought a PCI Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Card. Im a little less stressed.:coocoo: i just want it to run stable. i have memmory tested each stick for approx 10 hours each with Memtest86+ 1.65. Not one error found. Then each stick as pair for 8 hours. no errors were found. Then with all 4. ??? wait a second 3.?? GB? Where's the rest? Im not good at all when it comes to setting timings and such. you can find my current settings below. I can not get run prime95 on each cpu without getting rounding errors. Even just using IE i get the ocaisional BSOD, Restart or Fatal Error. Could any one reccommend changes to the settings below that would improve my system stability and let me use my last gb of ram ? wevsspot Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 You'll need to enable MMIO Memory Hole in BIOS and make sure you have Windows SP2 installed. Remember, 4gb is a huge load on the m/b and on-die memory controller of the A64.
en0tlaid Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 i cant seem to find any option for mimo. xp was slipstreamed into xp along with the video drivers.

JuicE_ Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 man thats alot of voltage? and at stock? take off the special control and put it to AUTO.... on my opteron the special control causes it to be somewhat unstable/// just set the voltage to liek 1.35v if running stock hope this helps
wevsspot Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Good point JuicE. I calculate 1.5675 or there abouts. You really shouldn't need that much especially at stock settings.

Sharp Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Hello, Are these the 2x1GB kits with 2-3-2-5 timings? Make sure that all 4 power connectors are plugged into the board # 24pin ATX connector. # 4pin +12v P4 connector, near the ATX connector. # Floppy power connector, under the CPU socket. # Hard drive power connector, on top the chipset fan. What happens with those settings on MEMTEST? Clear your CMOS for 10 minutes # Remove the power cord from the back of the power supply. # Move the CMOS jumper to the clear position and leave it there for 10mins. # Make sure you move it back to the save position after.
