hanibal Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 i had 2 512 corsair cmx512 3200c2 sticks in my system overclocked to 225 no probs on stock. Bought OCZ Platinum Edition PC3200 CL2 DDR400 2gb (1gb x 2) put them in and anything over 218 xp keeps rebboting? This ram should blow away the corsair correct it has el timmings? What setup should i follow in my bios to get these sticks to work over 220? Dissapointed with ocz right now and paid alot of money? Entropy Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 I have the same mobo and RAM, but couldn't find it in the stock speed database, though there is a similar? mobo and value RAM combo. Â I'd guess your reduced overclock is because you went from 2x512 to 2x1024. Most 1GB sticks don't OC nearly as well as their 512MB counterparts. Â You could check over at the OCZ forums on bleedingedge and see if there is any info there.
