Fried One Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I was on the DFI web site updating some system drivers and seen a update for the ITE Smart Guardian . I did not install this driver from the disc because I was not sure what it was for. Can someone shed some light on what this does and if I should install it. Thanks. Guest caffeinejunkie Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 SmartGuardian is used to monitor temps, voltages, and rpm. It's pretty useful. Heres a nice thread with some mods for it so you can adujust your rails and whatnot. linkage

no_nonsense4857 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Hi Diyers, I have no idea as to what the 'enable' option in this pic means. Could anybody clarify the purpose of this tab please.
red930 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 you should only use the ITE that's on the CD that came with your board. the pic show how to off set ITEs volts to match your real voltage
mknwatt Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Hi Diyers, I have no idea as to what the 'enable' option in this pic means. Could anybody clarify the purpose of this tab please. It will highlight red (alarm) when this voltage is reached. Your CPU voltage will alarm @ 1.8V. Way to high. Here's a mine set to alarm a 1.526V, notice my CPU is highlighted red. When I set it to 10% it don't alarm till 1.54V. You can also mod ITE to your liking, read joops post. caffeinejunkie linked to it ^^^^ ,

radodrill Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Hi Diyers, I have no idea as to what the 'enable' option in this pic means. Could anybody clarify the purpose of this tab please. Enables alarms to warn you if that parameter is out of spec. (i.e. if the 12V rail is at 12.5V)
