AMDOCuser Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I have yet to see this for myself, but someone came to me with a problem with Windows XP. When they have an application running (word, explorer, etc.) nothing shows up on their taskbar. I have never heard of anything like this before. Does anyone know what could be doing this? LobbDogg Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I have seen it, but only with certain applications that let you specify it. Is there a setting in Word, or whatever program is being used? Maybe its just a quick little setting.
AMDOCuser Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I have no idea. I haven't looked at his computer yet, but he says that no matter what application is running it does'nt show up on his taskbar. I might just have to fiddle with it a little when I finnaly see it. There must be some type of setting somewhere in windows that does that, but I'm running the OS as him and can't find any setting that would do that. stew Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 i have that jsut now, i find its intermittent so a log off curse it... also if you open task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and close explorer.exe and then start a new task (type in "explorer") it normally fixes the problem. Aparently its a known bug and was meant ot be fixed with SP1 but it hasnt
