Well, i've seen computers, including monitors, put into bigger monitor housings. I would like to put my ATX components into an iMac case.

Can anyone take measurments of one for me that has one? I think Bigred over there might have one? yea?

Anways - i need length, width, height and depth, naturally. Also, could you include the diagonal of the side from top right corner to bottom left corner of the LEFT side of the unit (assuming you are looking at the front).

Thanks in advance...

the only way its gonna work is mini-itx with everything built in. Imac's are just way too cramped for anything else to work.

sorry

If you want to give it a shot, try the compusa auction page. they have stuff like mac cases and sometimes dead imacs

power mac uses a standard micro atx layout. emacs you might be able to squeeze a micro atx board in there... but still no room for any expansion cards. mac is real good at crammin stuff in there so you can't do much. the new lcd imac is a prime example of that. it has 2 dimm slots, 1 sodimm and 1 regular dimm. sodimm is on the bottom, but to get the full size one you have to remove the bottom, the weight, the optical drive, the hdd THEN the mobo to even see the darn thing. I can put tear a regular desktop computer appart and have all new insides installed in uder 10 min, but it takes me over 2 hours to put a new dimm in the top slot of a newer imac... it's like brain surgery.
