Or you could grab my mobile 3700+ Newark in MY for sale thread. :D

They work just fine, in my case it appears to be unlocked (though it isn't), but it doesn't hurt anything to try other multipliers, it just defaults to 12 (I think) if you go too high. Also I believe the Bios by defaut set it to like 600mhz or something, but again no big deal, just manually set it to 200x12.

another question i have is about the psu requirements

right now i have an antec truepower 480w with the following:

+3.3v = 30A

+5v = 38A

+12v = 22A

-5v = .5A

-12v = 1A

+5v SB = 2A

Will this be ok to run a 4000+ newark, nf3 250gb, dvd-rom, cd-rw, 2 hd's, x850xt, and still have room for overclocking? Or, will I need to buy a new psu? If I do, can you reccomend one for me?

Little low on the 12V rail. Might want to look at the HIPER for $100.00 US

I just got mine. I had a PC Power & Cooling 510 SLI, but I left it in my 250GB, as it had an annoying whine in the fan. Runs very quiet, and seems to be delivering good power. Doesn't have the P8 connection for future, but, they could make a new cable, it's modular. Looks good too, but the connections on the PSU make it a little long, you need about 8" for the PSU.

Tested mine with a Volt Meter. 12V about 12.15 and stays within .02, 5V at 5.07 and stays within .02.

That psu will work grate

you should put the spec on the 754 so we can see what your plains are for better judgement

The reason I'm sticking with agp, is because if I were to go with pci-e, then I'd just be better off building an am2/conroe system from scratch. For my intent and purposes, a 754 w/ agp will suit me just fine. My next upgrade/complete system build wont be for probably about a year, when conroe/am2 (maybe even the ppu) matures. Since I don't play with hdr (hate the way it looks), the x850xt I have will last a year without any problems.

yeah guess that keeps a lot of people at 754. Well that’s one hot cpu that 4000+ should not have any problem getting 2.9 out of it. from there its gonna teach you how the board works real good :D or you could try and find a DFI Lanparty UT NF3 Ultra D thats AGP 939 then you get a 146 Opteron and have dual channel too  for the same price

But then again probley have to find a used one too
