TheFlowerKing Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Nice work Devil_07, those new 4000+ are real sweet chips, that has a bit of headroom if you're only needing 1.45v for that speed. Bloody brilliant
Devil 07 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it. This is the first chance I've had to play with a DFI board and it truly is an amazing board.

RAINMAKA Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103772 Would that CPU be able to enter the club? I dont plan to buy it but someone may.
CPDMF Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Pretty sure it would get in the club, might even do it at stock voltage. 3.0 isn't as big a deal as it used to be..

I dont plan to buy it but someone may. buy the opty Charmed is selling, it's a good CPU, myself and CPDMF own the same stepping and they were all bought together is just that CharmedLover was not able to overclock it well,.... I dont plan to buy it but someone may. I'm not sure if that will be in the spirit of the 3G club, though technically, it should be able to enter. It's like showing up at the Bonneville salt flats with a Bugatti Veyron to go after 200 mph. We know it can do it, so where's the fun? Coors Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 200 mph is always fun lol
Guest drteming Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 200 mph is always fun lol Oh I'm sure it is. But it will be a lot more fun if it is done in a little 4 banger, cobbled together at home, tubrocharged to within an inch of its life, fed nitrous, and with bits falling off during the run...like taking a 1.8 GHz processor and making it go 3+ GHz. To take the analogy further, if we equate 200 mph to 3GHz, the fastest I'd ever gone is about 130 mph (speed governor in my A3), then my computer(s) should be running about 1.95 GHz, barely above stock...
