Recommended Posts

Windows installation barley completes, fresh install, when it actualy boots, is hardly functional.

Prime Fails within 5min, possible hardware error.

I tried 3 diffrent A64 chips, I am gonna try diffrent ram.

I dont have another power supply.

I dont know what is up.

make sure you have the floppy disk drive power connector that feeds the memory voltage connected at the lower left corner of the memory slots.

I was under the impression that was for the PCIe slots, not for the ram, looked in the manual, says it will improve stability for the whole board, so seems to be worth a shot

I have the all the power ports connected.

5v12v PCIE slot you talking about, the 24pin main motherboard power connected, and since my powersupply does not have a true 8pin power connector, I just used the 4 pin, and the manual said that was ok.

and is my PSU really that bad? What do you mean by a Real PSU?

and How do I check my bois version.

Could it be ram compatibility? I know DFIs are picky with thier ram

Try looking in the CFX3200-DR Discussion thread. There's a post by John something that has the same RAM as you and I do and I basically copied his RAM settings (he has it all listed). You're RAM works great with this board, you just need to manually input all the correct settings. My 3dmark06 scores went up almost 2000 points with the settings he had posted.
