smolt Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Ok... BTW I tried upping the voltage a lot (up to 1.87v ish) in order to get to 308 but no joy theres no need to set your vcore higher then 1.8 after that higher vcore make no differents
VitaV Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Have you to looked at my Data base entry? I think theres a link in my sig. But as you can see im useing TccD so your memorys gonna play a big role K Could you put more info about your memory in your sig? It could be helpful Also to both of you. Some dividers do not work on different kinds of memory Tell me now don't you.

VitaV Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I watch then don't I? :shake: Ah tried most things to get 2.6 stable, it's a no go . I'll upgrade to RAM, as I think that's my limiting factor here.
john63 Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Yes...errrm Found out another problem. My RAM will only work on the 120MHz divider, not the 100MHz (1/2) one. I'm giving it 3.1V...so fingers crossed that should help. Current stableish overclock is @ 2577MHz - Failed prime95 after 5 Hrs 49 Mins Thanks for the advice about the voltage btw
smolt Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Value Elixir PNY Both you two gonna run into same problem with that ram these boards love Tccd at 2.8 or Bh-5 ( but inless you do a psu mod ant gonna work likes 3.5v) Or grab any 1 gig sticks And no mater what ram you get. if you go for the max cpu MHZ witch is king over memory MHz. your gonna be stuck on a divider. And the rule of using a divider is if you use one it don’t mater as long as you pick one so that you can use tight 2-2-2-5 timing or as close. If you go two gig the benefits exceeds any lose in dividers or timings
john63 Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Or grab any 1 gig sticks So it's better to have one crappy 1 GB stick than 2 crappy 512 MB sticks? (Less stress on the memory controller perhaps?) Thanks for all the help I think it should be running @ 2550ish eventually
