Guest Kobalt Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I think that OP's Q is a little vauge. '64bit worth it'? That HIGHLY depends on what your doing. Then it HIGHLY depends on the software you are running. Then it depends on how well the software is programmed. The biggest problem with anything 64bit is with drivers. Some companies are cool, and have pretty stable stuff out, others you will see more BSODs in your sleep. For the average game playing/word processing/e-mailing joe, then don't bother. If you do 3D work/database/some future games/video/audio, then worth a shot to try it.
Gipse Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I wonder how you guys are able to install xp_64.... I tried it so often and always got bluescreens. No matter what I tried: stock settings, only 2x512 or 2x1024MB always the same = really frustrating... Gipse
