Magnon Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 I have a asus a7n8 with samsung pc3200 running at a net oc of 2325 with folding doing sse and no problem at all. When I shifted from 3dnow to sse 1 machine needed to be slowed down slightly to be stable. I suspect that it is actually your memory that is the problem...... That said is your bios uptodate? I had memory sensitivity problems with early releases of the asus bios. Sorry I cant be of more help.
Montol Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 Yeah, I'd say its mem problems. I know when I OCd I had to boost the Vdimm a bit to get it stable. Don't ask me why, but it fixed it. I have PC3200 Hyper-X RAM too.

Trakfast11 Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 (edited) my 1700+ system just started failing to finish wus. backed down the oc and turned on the AC (turned off AC for past two days because it was cool in my room. today, it was not so cool .) apparently i'm earning partial credit somewhere in there. my number of wu's has increased with the number of times my comp has failed to get much past 0%. ouch. another failed wu: [00:45:40] Assembly optimizations on if available.[00:45:40] Entering M.D. [00:46:00] (Starting from checkpoint) [00:46:00] Protein: p1029_FSunf_337_GS [00:46:00] [00:46:00] Writing local files [00:46:00] Completed 2589 out of 2500000 steps Edited October 21, 2003 by Trakfast11
